Well, I channel something called chakra through it. Chakra is a source of energy found in the cells of people from my world. You can channel it a variety of ways. You can put it in instantly from a remote location, or you can charge them before hand and detonate them at will, or you can channel it when you're still in contact with it for the strongest effect. I prefer two and three the best though one is a nice option to have. There's also one I've been working on that's basically pretimed explosions. I channel my chakra in before hand, and it releases after having just enough chakra to propel itself to it's location for the weak armed, or it acts as a stronger catalyst for those with decent throwing skills. By sealing my chakra like static until it's thrown for these special tags, I don't need any more chakra to detonate them, and, it's an automatic process. On the other hand, it relies specifically on timing or if it hits something, so I'm trying to find a way that involves it continuously sealing on and off until it runs out of chakra or something similar so it doesn't go to waste and end up causing friendly fire.
